Gender Equality & the World Rafting Federation

The WRF’s strategic objective around gender equality calls for growing female participation at the World Championship to 50 per cent. This significant, yet achievable, increase will build upon recent advances in gender parity.

From governance to rafting guides, the WRF is focusing on achieving tangible results to strengthen gender equality across the entire Rafting Worldwide Community following the IOC’s action-oriented recommendations.

The ultimate goal is to assist in removing barriers preventing women from participating in sport at all levels. 

This goal is reflected also in the introduction of a mixed category in R4 events (2 women + 2 men) for the RX discipline.
