Mrs Mansi Thakur IAS will be the Overall incharge from the government of Himachal Pradesh; the championships is set to take place against the backdrop of breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, adding an extra layer of challenge and beauty to the competition. Rafters will navigate the tumultuous waters, showcasing their prowess in maneuvering through rapid currents and overcoming obstacles strategically placed along the course.

As of February 20, 2024, the confirmed lineup for the Asian Rafting Championships includes formidable teams from Iran, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Kazikasthan, and India. This diverse roster highlights the broad geographical representation and growing popularity of rafting across the continent. As these nations gear up for the competition, the stage is set for an intense showcase of talent and determination on the challenging rapids, making the championships a true celebration of Asia's rafting culture.

The anticipation surrounding the event is not limited to the participants alone. Buckle up for a new adventure: Bosnia and Herzegovina proudly announces the hosting of the WRF European Rafting Championships 2024 - on Neretva River, Konjic. 

From June 10th to 15th, this picturesque destination will become the battleground for the continental's top rafting teams The pristine Neretva River is the blue heart of Europe; it carves its way through Bosnia and Herzegovina’s impenetrable forest. A mesmerizing blue-green, that runs 225 kilometers from deep within the Dinaric Alps to the Adriatic Sea – at some points disappearing into subterranean channels before re-emerging in bubbling springs. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning hues, will be the stage for this exciting competition. Characterized as a typical mountain river, the Neretva boasts an incredible drinkable clarity upstream from Konjic, a rarity in itself. In June, the water levels will be optimal for an exhilarating competition, ranging from third-degree to intermittent fourth-degree challenges along the course.

The city of Konjic is ready to welcome all the strongest rafters from all over Europe to discover its cultural heritage and local cuisine; the city is approximately 50 kilometers south of Sarajevo. The accommodation & food will be free of charge if the Team is registered on time. See the Official Sport Programme below.

Croatia: on the picturesque Adriatic Coast, near small town of Omiš - once a pirate town - we are calling all the rafting lovers! Infact the Euro Cup Series will open with the new added Croatian stage of the circuit on the stunning waters of the Cetina River from April 12th to 14th. 

The wild waters of the Paiva River are about to get even more exciting with the 4th edition of the Arouca Rafting Summit from January 24th to 28th. This event aims to showcase and celebrate white-water activities, especially rafting on the Paiva River, with a mix of thrilling experiences.

The event starts with an inclusive rafting session: "Rafting for All," organized for people with visual impairments. Another activity, "Rafting x Future," involves 12th-grade students from Arouca and Escariz schools, offering them a chance to experience and learn about rafting on the renowned Paiva River.

The Czech Republic (The Union of Boaters of The Czech Republic) has officially joined the World Rafting Federation (WRF), bringing a rich blend of river culture and enthusiasm to the already diverse mix of nations united by the sport of rafting. This new collaboration not only strengthens the global rafting community but also emphasizes the significance of unity in promoting water sports and fostering a deep appreciation for the world's rivers.

The inclusion of the Czech Republic in the World Rafting Federation marks a significant milestone. The Czech Republic adds a distinctive touch to the worldwide rafting community with its extensive river system and profound cultural ties to water.
